Flows are automated workflows that connect your apps and services. Build once, run automatically - saving you hours of manual work.
You can set up flows just by chatting
You don't have to build flows by hand — describe what you want and AI does it for you. Use the built-in Build chat inside Serenities, or connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client over MCP and do it from your own AI. You can still set it all up by hand — this page is the reference either way.
What is a Flow?
A Flow is a series of connected steps that run automatically. Each flow starts with a trigger (an event that starts the flow) and contains one or more actions (tasks the flow performs).
Example: When a new file is uploaded to Google Drive (trigger), automatically send a notification to Slack (action) and save the file info to a spreadsheet (action).
How a Flow Works
Steps from your connectors
Apps you connected under Automations → Connectors (Notion, GitHub, Linear, Stripe, or any MCP server you added by URL) appear in the Add Tool panel’s Connectors tab. Open a connector, click one of its tools, and it becomes a step like any other: fill in its fields, reference earlier steps with {{#2.field}}, and the step runs when the flow reaches it. Built-in apps in the Tools tab keep using built-in connectors; connectors carry their own sign-in. Read the Connectors guide.
